About me
“Explore the world. Nearly everything is really interesting if you go into it deeply enough.”
—Richard P. Feynman
I'm a legal expert working at the intersection of human trafficking, child exploitation, human security, and criminal law. I'm driven by curiosity and a passion for making sense of complex challenges—and turning those insights into meaningful, constructive solutions.
My work often bridges disciplines. I collaborate with computer scientists to develop ethical AI tools that tackle issues like exploitation and trafficking, and I design and deliver training programmes that explore the relationship between law, crime, and technology.
I hold a PhD in Law and completed the Bar Vocational Course in the UK. I'm a board member of the Journal of Human Trafficking and a member of the Social Responsibility Alliance.
Alongside my research and consultancy work, I teach Space Law and Comparative Constitutional Law at the University of Amsterdam. I also mentor students at both the University of Amsterdam and the University of Warwick.
